Life Groups offer a space and a place to grow in faith and build meaningful relationships? Life groups are small gatherings where we read the bible, pray, worship, and enjoy fellowship together. It’s a space to share life, encourage one another, and deepen your relationship with God in a warm, welcoming community.

Community Groups are larger, open gatherings built around shared hobbies, passions, or causes. Whether it’s walking, crafting, music, gardening, or something else entirely, these groups are a great way to meet others, have fun, and feel part of something bigger.
They’re informal, inclusive, and often intergenerational—bringing together people from all walks of life who simply enjoy doing life together. They currently consist of… Table-Tennis, Just B café, Craft n Chat, Stars and Wonders, and Tuesday Lunches.

The Venue Co-ordinator each week serves to make sure everything runs smoothly, (which it usually does). This involves overseeing most of what is going on and supporting other teams. The Venue Co-ordinator makes sure the church is open (and locked) at the appropriate time and also makes major decisions in the event of an emergency.
The Car Parking Team is the very first welcome people experience at Broadmead. Before anyone steps into the building, we get to set the tone — helping them arrive safely, calmly, and with a smile. Our job isn’t just directing cars; it’s creating a space where people feel noticed, valued, and at ease the moment they turn in. We’re here to serve, to show kindness, and to help every person begin their Sunday well. That’s the heart of this team — safety, clarity, and genuine welcome from the very first moment.
The Office Admin Team is a vital part of our church family, working faithfully behind the scenes to help everything run smoothly throughout the week. From preparing resources to organising events and supporting our ministries, this team helps create the foundation that allows our church to thrive. If you enjoy serving others, love a bit of organisation, or simply want to make a meaningful difference in a quiet but powerful way, we’d love to have you join us. Your time and skills—big or small—can be a real blessing to our whole church community.
The Tech Team serves behind the scenes to help create a smooth, engaging, and distraction?free environment for worship. This includes our Audio and Visual departments, who oversee everything from sound mixing and microphone setup to managing screens, cameras, filming, and presentation slides. Whether adjusting audio levels, running lighting cues, or ensuring song lyrics and sermon notes display correctly, the team works together to support the message and enhance the worship experience for everyone in the room and those watching online later.
Is the Hospitality Team for you?
If you enjoy meeting new people, and have a friendly face, then you may consider joining the Welcome, Engage, Car Park or Refreshments Team. These teams work hard to ensure that everyone who walks through the door is helped to feel at home and connected here. They offer everyone a friendly smile and are confident in approaching new people, offer them information or point them in the right direction. Or refreshments team use the power of tea and coffee to ensure that everyone who steps in to our building has a great experience.
Joining the Discovering Faith team is a powerful way to help others explore who Jesus is and what His message means for their lives today. Whether through online sessions or in-person gatherings, this team creates open, engaging spaces where people can ask questions, encounter the hope of the gospel, and experience Christian faith in a real and relevant way. The Children’s Team is an amazing place to serve, helping our youngest church members—from pre?school to primary school—discover who Jesus is in a fun, creative, and engaging way. Through stories, games, crafts, and play, this team helps children experience God’s love in a setting full of joy and energy. If you enjoy sparking curiosity, nurturing young hearts, or simply love creating a safe and happy space for kids to grow, we’d love to have you join us. Your enthusiasm and care can make a lasting impact as we help children take their first steps in faith.
The Youth Team is an exciting and rewarding place to serve, investing in the lives of young people aged 11–18 and helping them discover who Jesus is in a fun, relevant, and life?changing way. From games and teaching to socials, trips out, and real conversations, this team creates a space where young people can grow in faith, build friendships, and feel supported through the ups and downs of teenage life. The Older People Team is a wonderful opportunity to share friendship, care, and encouragement with some of our church and local community. Is the Pastoral Care Team for you? Do you have a heart for people who are struggling with life, or find themselves stuck at home or in hospital? Or could you offer more practical support – DIY, gardening etc? Could you join a team of people who visit and support people who are finding life a challenge at the moment.
The Prayer Team is a compassionate and powerful ministry that stands alongside members of our church family in prayer, offering support, encouragement, and faith-filled intercession during and after our Sunday gatherings. This team creates a safe, hope-filled space for people to encounter God, find comfort, and receive guidance in whatever season they’re facing. If you have a heart for prayer and a desire to bless others in a meaningful, personal way, we’d love to welcome you to the team. Your willingness to listen, care, and pray can make a profound difference in someone’s life.
The Communion Team plays a beautiful and meaningful role in our Sunday gatherings, preparing and serving the bread and wine as we remember and celebrate Jesus’ sacrifice together. Their quiet, faithful work helps create a reverent and welcoming moment for the whole church family once a month. The Property Team plays a crucial role in caring for our church home—looking after the building, car park, and outdoor space so that everyone who walks through our doors feels welcomed and safe. From small repairs to outdoor upkeep, this team helps create a space where ministry can flourish and people can encounter God without distraction.
