Adam has been Pastor of Broadmead since 2010 having completed his training at Spurgeon’s College. He is married to Karen and they have three children. He loves most sports, especially cricket, enjoys good indie music, reading and films. Ordering him a good coffee is the answer to most problems he believes.
Gillian is originally from Scotland but has been here in Northampton a long time. She works in a Conference Centre as the Hospitality Manager. Prior to that she was a Youth Worker. She likes Walking, watching films & TV, trying new things and meeting friends for coffee although she is really a tea drinker
Richard had been attending Broadmead since 2000. What first brought him here was recognising people’s strong faith in God, and this still holds true today. Richard is a leader in our Children’s ministry. In his spare time Richard enjoys spending time with his family and dreams of the odd game of golf.
Steve has been a part of Broadmead since 2010. He is Director of a property maintenance & repairs company, married to Helen with 5 children. He enjoys listening to all sorts of music, singing and playing guitar as part of the worship team. Hanging out with friends and generally being sociable is time well spent.
Kath has been an Elder and Trustee of Broadmead since 2018 having served on the Extended Leadership Team for five years overseeing Prayer and Prophesy within the church. She is married to Owen and they have three children and she works as a University Assessment Manager. She loves music, worship, arts and crafts and baking when she gets time and when it comes to the choice of tea or coffee it has to be tea.
John has been a member of Broadmead since he came to Northampton over 35 years ago. In his day job, he teaches Geography and Religious Studies in a Northamptonshire academy. He is married to Lucy and they have two adult children. He enjoys not taking things too seriously and a nice pint of real ale.
Jamie is a true Northerner, having been born and bred in Lancaster. At home, he is often in the kitchen, having been a chef previously, usually cooking up pies, roasts or sausage and mash; he has a particular weakness for cheese boards and crisps. He is very fortunate to be married to his awesome wife, Andrea (who may have written this bio!) and they have a beautiful daughter. On a Sunday he can be found either at the PA desk, speaking or helping with the youth. When having down time, he enjoys sports and can be a bit of a geek when it comes to Marvel and DC.
My name is Joe, I have been happily married for 38 years, I have two grown up children and 3 grandchildren. I work in food distribution as a general manager. I love rugby, and anything to do with classic cars. I have been part of Broadmead Church for about 20 years and have volunteered in the church as a treasurer and trustee for the past 4 years. I also enjoy being part of a growing church.
Jim has been attending Broadmead since 2015 and is married to Sue. Jim studied Theology at Glasgow Bible College and Evangelism at Cliff College. He currently works as Supporter Care Lead at Scripture Union, which has a vision to help churches reach the 95% of Children and Young People not connected with a church. During his spare time, he enjoys sport (watching more than playing) and a good curry.
Jodie has been leading the youth work at Broadmead since 2011 and studied at the Centre for Youth Ministry in Oxford. She loves spending time with family and friends and going for long dog walks (as long as they involve coffee and cake stops). Lindt chocolate and Lush bath bombs are the way to her heart!
Children and Family Worker
Andrea’s spent a few years working in an alternative provision school for young people excluded from mainstream education in addition to supporting vulnerable families. She loves her role to help support and nurture the spiritual life of children and families. On a day she is not working, she has a beautiful 16 month old daughter who loves to giggle and having fun keeping Andrea on her toes.
Loreto is originally from Chile, has lived in Northampton for over 10 years and joined Broadmead in 2015. She is involved in various areas of church life, with the worship ministry being her main passion. She is married to John and has 2 wonderful children. She loves spending time with family and friends, walking, reading, playing the piano and watching superhero movies.
Abigail has been working at Broadmead since January 2020. Prior to that she was a House and Community Manager at Beechen Grove. She likes cooking, gardening, travelling, dancing,hanging out with friends. She has a sweet tooth, so a cup of hot chocolate would make her day!
