The environment where pastoral care takes place most naturally within Broadmead is in Connect Groups, where people share their lives together, supporting and encouraging one another in an atmosphere of mutual acceptance and care. There we can ask for and receive prayer, help each other practically and grow in our faith together. Relationships deepen as openness is fostered.
There are however, times in our lives when events overtake us and things may become overwhelming. We may need more support than is possible within our Connect Group. In these times, we might want someone to walk more closely with us for a season, to listen, pray, and care for us. This is where our Pastoral Care Team steps in.
We also have a group of people willing to try to meet some of the practical needs that crop up from time to time. All requests should be passed to the Pastoral Care Co-ordinator in the first instance.
During the Corona Virus pandemic we have also been running a virtual Pastoral Care call via Zoom each Tuesday afternoon. Please contact us for details or find them in the weekly Broadmead News email
