The Bible describes this using several key steps:

1 – Recognise your need for salvation

The Bible teaches that all people have sinned and need God’s forgiveness.

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of GodRomans 3:23

Sin separates people from God, and we cannot fix this on our own.

2 – Understand what Jesus did for you

Jesus died for your sins and rose again so you could be forgiven and receive eternal life.

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for usRomans 5:8

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through meJohn 14:6

3 – Repent — turn toward God

Repentance means turning away from sin and turning your heart toward God.

Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord” Acts 3:19

It’s not about becoming perfect, but about a genuine change of direction.

4 – Believe in Jesus as Lord and Saviour

Becoming a Christian is rooted in faith—trusting Jesus, not your own goodness.

They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your householdActs 16:31

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, what whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal lifeJohn 3:16

We would encourage you to tell someone and join with us as we gather weekly to worship, open Scripture, and make space for the Holy Spirit—so if you’re exploring faith, you’ll find a relaxed, welcoming environment to ask questions and take next steps. Our Sunday rhythm is intentionally accessible, with refreshments from 10:15am and the main gathering at 10:45am.
If you’d like a conversation, the team invites you to reach out directly—phone, email, or the contact form—and we’ll connect you with someone who can walk with you.
