A chance to celebrate all that is good about our community and to meet up to have fun and enjoy meeting each other.
COMMUNITY CONCERT 5:00pm
We are delighted that a number of choirs will be performing at St. Albans church at 5:00pm. Watch this space for details of our wonderful performers.
ABINGTON COMUNITY CENTRE 12:00 – 3:00pm
Abington Community Centre will be open from 12.00 – 3.00pm. There will be indoor games and sports as well as refreshments (soup & rolls/sandwiches), sensory area, table top sales, and space for babies.
ABINGTON LIBRARY 10:00 – 4:00pm
As well as finding out more about what your local library offers, there will be craft activities from children and refreshments available. The bus rides will start from the library.
BROADMEAD AVENUE SHOPS 2:00 – 4:30pm
The Karmana restaurant will be hosting music acts inside from 2pm until 4.30pm. A number of our local shops will be open as well as provide opportunities for you to buy food throughout the afternoon.
EASTFIELD PARK 10:30 – 12:30pm
Activities will be running in the park including a Community dog walk at 11:30am, led by Nathan Watson. Stalls will be available by Animals in Need as well as a tombola stall. FoEP will have a stall with information for Wildlife Trust.
SHOP ZERO 11:00 – 3pm
Shop Zero will be open and making up food packs as well as hosting an exhibition on food waste. There wlll be an opportunity to get involved in planting up some planters and planting seeds and there may be plants for sale too. There are also excited to host the United African Association Drumming
EASTFIELD ACADEMY 1:00 – 4:45pm
The Friends of Eastfield Academy have a bouncy castle and tuck shop on the school field from 1-4:45pm.
SAMUEL’S CHRISTIAN NURSERY 1:00 – 4:00pm
Samuels Nursery will be open and have a variety of activities for you to enjoy as well as a stall.
ST. ALBANS CHURCH 10:00 – 4:00pm
The church will be open with tea, coffee, cold drinks and cake available all day until 4.00pm
If anyone wants to know how to knit or crochet come along and learn – wool and needles will be provided. Suitable yarn crafts for children will be available too. There will also be a small exhibition of hand made items, all yarn related plus a spinning demonstration.
BROADMEAD COMMUNITY CHURCH 1:00 – 4:00pm
Whatever the weather on the day we will have something for everyone. Blow off some steam on our inflatables or take a more relaxed approach with refreshments in the cafe as well as stallls and garden games. If you are feeling competitive why not enter our Community Festival Transport Bake Off Challenge – Adults, children and family categories available. The instructions can be downloaded here. All activities will be free but we would of course welcome donations towards the cost of each activity.
